Whenever you finish a Long Rest, you can create temporary wands using the following rules.
Creating a Wand
Choose a level 1 spell in your spellbook that has a casting time of an action. The wand is imbued with the chosen spell. When you reach higher Wizard levels, the level of spell you can choose increases as shown in the Spell Level column of the Wands table.
Charges
When you create a wand, expend one or more spell slots. The wand has a number of charges equal to the combined level of spell slots expended, divided by the spell's level, plus 1. For example, if you make a wand of Scorching Ray and expend two level 3 spell slots, the wand has 4 charges. While holding the wand, you can expend 1 charge to cast the imbued spell from it, using your spellcasting ability. The wand crumbles into ashes when its last charge is expended or you finish a Long Rest.
Arcane Recovery
If you use your XPHB to regain spell slots of a level for which you have a wand, you can instead recover an equal number of that wand's expended charges.
Personalized
Only you can use a wand created using this feature.
Total Wands
The total number of wands you can have at once is shown in the Total Wands column on the Wands table for your Wizard level. You can't have more than one wand containing the same spell at one time.
