Neverwinter harbor is remarkable for two reasons. First, it never freezes due to the warm waters that flow out from the volcanic Mount Hotenow via the Neverwinter River into the harbor and second, for the Moonstone Mask tavern, which towers over the harbor on its own moored island. Known for its mysterious moonstone-mask-adorned servers, the five-story eatery serves some of the rarest and most exceptional cuisine in all Faerûn. While its patrons rave about its meat pies and rare feywine, it's the cheese that wins the day. Sourced from seemingly every corner of the Realms (and beyond), its cheese board is without equal, featuring the rarest Arabellan Cheddar, pocked Waterdhavian Cheese, soft red-rinded Death Cheese, the heavily veined Elturian Grey sheep's cheese, and even the port wine-infused Turmish Brick—all served with fresh-baked bread from Siril's Bakery. Local cornichons and Memnon almonds add some crunch to the mix, while the sweet is provided by Neverwinter honey and dates and figs from Calimshan. Cleanse each bite with a refreshing nibble of Dalelands rose apple, locally sourced grapes, or even fennel.
